Get ready for an online streaming show like no other. We're on a mission to keep the doors open at The Box and we need your help! Grab your snacks, delicious beverages and your wallet and get ready to enjoy eight hours of non stop family friendly fun. We'll be broadcasting games, music, comedy improv and more. You never know who might be dropping into the stream to say hello.
Many of you may or may not know that The Box Performance and Improv Theatre falls under the umbrella of Cardboard Playhouse Theatre Company. This pandemic has hit us hard; we have been dark since March and we understand that we will have to stay dark until the first few months of 2021. We love our incredible improv community surrounding The Box and we are determined to open our doors again when it's safe to do so.
On Sunday September 6th we're asking everyone to tune and Think Inside the Box and help us reach our fundraising goal of $20,000.
We are looking for performers who have an 5-8 minute performance to be a part of our Sunday Funday Labor Day Telethon Weekend.
This 8 minutes can be musical or spoken word. It can be comedy, dance, or live music. Really, we want to see you having fun.
We will want live musical performances to perform on one of four remote stages that we will have set up downtown.
Performances without amplified music can be performed at home. We can discuss the details of these arrangements after your acts have been chosen.
Our hope is that ALL PERFORMANCES WILL BE LIVE and not previously recorded.
IMPORTANT COVID-19 GUIDELINES
FOR THE SAFETY OF EVERONE AND TO PROVIDE PEACE OF MIND WE WILL FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES
Performers must wear a mask except when they are on stage practicing and performing.​

6 ft. social distancing will be enforced.
Sorry, no hugging and kissing.

All performers will have their temperature checked with
touch-less a thermometer before entering the building.
​
Each stage will have clearly marked entrances and exits.
To avoid performers passing each other.
​
When the performance is over the performer will exit the stage and all equipment will be sanitized
​
There will be a waiting period of 30 minutes between each performance on every stage before another act is performed on that stage.
​
We will have hand sanitizer located on every stage.
